"Working with Christy was one of the most memorable times of my life. She has a great understanding of how to communicate with actors, combined with a gentleness & true knowledge of the craft." - Ray Hale, Los Angeles, Actor "Skin", "24" & "Strong Medicine"
Because I am not an actor, and not sure if I will ever be, I can attest to the fact that this technique and these classes can benefit just about anyone, actor or not. Christy welcomed all of us and treated all of the non-actors just the same as those in the "biz". I honestly feel like these classes assisted in opening my heart and my soul. I learned how to better connect to my emotions and connect with human beings in a way that I never had. - Jennifer Martinz, San Jose I am by no means an "actress" but have found the Meisner technique to be extremely helpful in many areas of my life. In fact after taking these two classes I want to do more acting because I have gotten so much from them. If you have the time and are looking for a fun way to let go - I highly recommend it. You will be pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of the technique and comfortable in the atmosphere that Christy creates. - Molly Finn
Christy is unbelievably talented and knowledgable in the field of acting. Studying Meisner with her has opened my eyes to a world of creativity, expression and freedom that I had never experienced with acting. It has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life. I highly recommend studying with Christy for anyone interested in pursuing acting, at any level in their career. I just wish I had started sooner! -Emily
Coming from New York City to the San Francisco Bay Area, I had a prejudice that any acting class I took here would be a Mickey Mouse kind of class. I was wrong. Christy oversees her students with such authority and serene confidence that slacking off just isn't in the picture. From the first second of my first class I was immediately challenged and emotionally engaged. Christy's firm understanding and application of Meisner techniques made those well-known phrases like "be in the moment," "be truthful," and "commit" become consistantly alive and tangible, rather than sporadic, evasive episodes. There is nothing more exciting than to be in the middle of class and realize "I get it. I get it!" and to watch others "get it" too. You travel a lifetime in three hours. You've just got to be there to know what that feels like. - Daniel Eugene Tobias
